If you are under the age of 18 and riding a bicycle, roller skating, in-line skating, skateboarding or using a scooter, the Manville Police is looking for you, provided you are wearing an approved helmet.  In March 2006, the state of New Jersey changed the age requirement for wearing a  helmet.  The age used to be under the age of 14 but it has been upped to under the age of 18.  Starting Memorial Day weekend, the Manville Police Department, in conjunction with LJ'z Boardwalk and Manville PBA Local #236, will be "ticketing" those riders found to be wearing a helmet.  The "ticket" will be good for a free regular ice cream cone at LJ'z.  Click here to read about it.
